CT Half Marathon swells in magnitude-more sports stalwarts join hands

As the date for CT Half Marathon is closing in, more and more celebrities are joining hands with CT Group for the CT Half Marathon, scheduled to be organized on March 6, 2011. Five eminent sportspersons S. Jagdish Singh Deol -Gold Medalist 400 Meter race in 1962 Asian Games, S. Varinder Singh Hockey Olympian and a veteran of 2 Olympics, 3 World Cups and 2 Asian games, Mr. Gurdeep Kumar co-coach of Indian Hockey Team (Men) Olympian in 1988 Olympics, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Hockey Olympian and Mr. Ripudaman an International Hockey player and co-coach for Indian Hockey Team (Women) visited CT Institutions to suggest the value additions.
This is in addition to the stars like Diljit and Pooja Tandon, who would be part of the mega event which is an annual feature of the group and an endeavor towards Corporate Social Responsibility. CT Half Marathon is a race for charity from CT Shahpur Campus to CT Maqsudan Campus over a distance of 21 KM. Every year Sports stalwarts, octogenarians, Singers from Punjabi Music Industry, corporate houses and NGO’s have been associated with us and the proceeds of the aforesaid marathon go to the less privileged sections of the society.
This also reflects that people are becoming more aware about the health. “Spreading awareness regarding health is indeed a noble cause and the future of India should lie on strong shoulders.” quoted S. Jagdish Singh Deol.

S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman- CT Group of Institutions thanked these sports personalities and added that, “Students should emulate the path trodden by these sports stalwarts and participate in this marathon of mammoth magnitude.”
Mr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, once again extended a warm welcome to all and urged them to be a part of this mega event. He further said that true philanthropy lies in practice rather than precept and the tradition set by CT Half Marathon is a live example.
