CT Celebrated  Martyrdom Day

SHAHEED BHAGAT SINGH


To pay obeisance to one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian Independence Movement, the students of CT Institute of Advance Management Studies celebrated the Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh at its Maqsudan Campus. Events like choreography on the life history of Bhagat Singh, Patriotic Songs Competition, Bhagat Singh’s Photo Exhibition, and Painting Competition were some of the main attractions of the day.

Besides remembering a great revolutionary and a national hero of millions of Indians, by organizing this programme, the institution made an attempt to aware the students with the great sacrifices made by our freedom fighters in the struggle to get independence for the country.
 
The echoes of the songs like ‘Mera Rang De Basanti Chola’, ‘Kar Chale Ham Fida Jaano Tan Sathio, ab tumhare hawale watan sathio’ reverberated the environment with patriotic colour and fragrance. Dr. Ashwani Kansra, Director of CT Group of Institutions delivered a special lecture highlighting the various aspects of Bhagat Singh’s life. Dr. Kansra sharing about Bhagat Singh memories said that he was not only a great revolutionary but also a good intellectual as he was having good knowledge of various languages as well as varied subjects like Indian History and Polity, French and Russian Revolutions and had also written four books during his last days in jail, namely:
i)                    Aatamkatha
ii)                  Bharat Mei Krantikari Aandolan
iii)                Samajwad ke Sidhant
iv)                Mrityu ke Dwar Par
 
Unfortunately, the manuscripts of none of these books are available with the Indian Government as these were all taken away by the British Government.
 
 
Sharing further he said that he was such a popular leader among the Indians that Britishers executed him one day before his death date that was fixed on 24th March 1931.Thus there was an unforgettable end of a great hero only at the young age of 24 years.
 
Present on the occasion were Principal Mr. Deepak Paul, Prof. Sailesh Tripathi, HOD (Mgt), Mr. Gurpreet Singh Virk, Mr. Ramandeep Singh & other faculty members of the institute.
 
Concluding this event, Prof. Tripathi expressed his thanks to everyone present on the occasion and appreciated the spirit of the students with which they had organized this event to commemorate the historic acts of a great leader like Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
