CT Technocrats second in Inno-Tech-2011

The students of Diploma in Automobile Engineering (VI SEM) from CT Polytechnic College, Shahpur bagged second position in the Inno-Tech-2011 organised jointly by Punjab Technical University and Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala. It was a moment of pride for CT Group of Institutions as the students won this award in project/model making category competing with various Polytechnic colleges throughout Punjab.

The students had made a Joystick steering system with electric (D.C) motor. The team comprising of Kanwaljit S.Channi-Project Leader, Amandeep Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Kanwaljit Singh and Amritpal Singh was elated after their achievement. The students beamed with joy as they won a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and were all excited making plans of spending the money. Er.Jaspal Singh Basra was the project incharge who motivated and showed the path to students for this success.
The Joystick Steering System was made using a D.C Motor, Steering system, battery, auto cut switches and joystick. The Joystick steering system works with the help of an electric motor and battery current, making it less complicated. Only two switches are attached into the sides of Joy stick lever which helps in the movement. The major advantage of such a system is that it can be used to help and facilitate a handicapped person drive the car easily.Morover it is user friendly and cost effective.
S.Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group expressed his content over the success of the students. He emphasized the importance of practical application of theoretical concepts and was overwhelmed with this achievement of the students.

Mr. Sunil Rattu, Principal, CT Polytechnic college, lauded the hard work and sincere efforts put in by the students and the faculty. He further said CT has always promoted creative ideas and innovative approach which is reflected in overall performance of our students.
