PRAYAS’ STUDENTS TO JOIN
CT HALF MARATHON
MARCH 6 2011'
CT Half Marathon 2011 A Race for Charity, taking place on March 6, 2011, invites everyone from sports persons to senior citizens to Olympians, artists, players and also to physically challenged persons to join for the noble cause. This admirable noble attempt on the part of CT Educational Society has also encouraged the physically challenged students, studying under the umbrella of PRAYAS, to participate in the race. PRAYAS - a Jalandhar based NGO, has been working for the welfare of the physically challenged persons from the last many years and has always come forward to work for their well-being. There will be a special 100m race for the students of ‘Prayas’ at CT Maqsudan Campus. Attractive prizes would be given to the winners for both male and female category and also to the students of Prayaas as a token of encouragement and appreciation. In a way, the participation of these physically challenged students will help to make a common healthy man understand that one should always work for the betterment of society and be grateful to the God that they are blessed with the opportunity to serve the humanity.

The marathon would be a step ahead in sharing and caring for humanity as the proceeds of the same would be shared with the organizations such as Pingalwara, Prayas School, and Red Cross Society set up for marginalized sections of the society who have been associated with us from the past four years.

S. Charanjit Singh, Chairman CT Educational Society appreciated the efforts made by the ‘Prayas’ to encourage their students to join this race. He further said that there is a real need to take care of these physically challenged persons by all of us and we should treat them as the most significant part of our society.
