Thousands throng in CT Mega Job Fest’11 Jammu
In furtherance to its endeavors for bridging up the gap between industry and academia and serving their demands, CT Group of Institutions, Jalandhar, Punjab added yet another feather to its cap by organizing a Mega Job Fest at Jammu University New Campus, Jammu.

About1500 students from different streams participated in this event of mammoth magnitude. This included students from Jammu and Kashmir, neighboring areas as well as from colleges in Punjab. There were ten companies from diverse sectors to recruit students. This is worth mentioning that CT Group of Institutions had organized 8 Job Fests in the past and Mega Job Fest 2011 was the ninth. CT Group has earlier organized these fairs in its campus as well as in Bihar and J&K.

The Job fest witnessed a good footfall of students with numbers of participants crossing thousand benchmark. Students from B.A., B.Com. B.Sc., BBA, BCA. B Tech, B.Pharma) and Post graduates (M.C.A. / M.B.A) and other disciplines participated in the event. Some of the top notch companies included WNS, HDFC Bank, Lupin Pharma, Karvy, Kayako Infotech, Vibe Technologies, Blue heaven securities, Jammu Ford and Highland Securities. These companies had different placement process. Some companies did the initial screening by studying the CVs of the students and inviting them for the interview. There were others who had a comprehensive process including written test followed by a group discussion and personal interview.

Since the choice of companies for a student was multiple, students were able to set up the priorities as to how they should plan the day.
