CT Institutions organized Hostel Night “Nite Blare 2011”
CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, Jalandhar continuing with its annual tradition of celebrating Hostel Night organized “Nite Blare 2011” in which various cultural events representing the cultures of different states. The Chairman of CT Group, S. Charanjit Singh Channi along with Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi (Co-Chairperson),

Mrs. & Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group), Mr. Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman graced the occasion. Directors, Principals and faculty members from various departments were also present there.

The setting of the event was picture perfect as one might say. The moon in the background was a spectacular sight. The event began on an auspicious note with Saraswati Vandana performed by the girls of CT Hostel. The events were performed on the basis of geographical locations of the country, moving from North to South, starting with Kashmiri Folk Dance which set the mood for the event. From there, the focus shifted to Himachal Pradesh, where the boys and girls performed ‘Natii’, the Himachali folk Dance.

Giddha and Bhangra from Punjab were the main attractions, forcing the audience to tap their feet along with the performers. A special folk dance from Jharkhand was a surprise hit amongst students,

as it was highly appreciated. Besides these there were various instrumental performances and fusion dances which rocked the stage. Silver-Steppers with their street dance moves left the audience awestruck. Apart from the group events there were various solo performances which received equal accolades. Songs sung by the students, Manish and Juhi Giri made the audience sing-along with them.

CT Group recognizes and appreciates the work put in by its Civil and Mess Departments, which is an integral part of the hostels. To show gratitude towards the workers of these departments students of the outgoing batches presented gifts to the workers of these departments.

The event was followed by dinner and DJ party for all the hostellers and guests. It was an emotional night for students of outgoing batches as well as for the freshers.

“Nite Blare 2011” was a great success. The grand event was praised by one and all and the students enjoyed it to the fullest.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman CT Group welcomed the new students for becoming a part of CT family and wished them good luck for future.
