The Competition of “Star Chef of Punjab Award 2012” was organized by Food Craft Institute Hoshiarpur under the close guidance and technical partnership from hotel and Tourism Industry associations of Punjab. The Jury members comprised of immigrant celebrity chef Mr. Manjit Singh Gill, Chef Praveen from Radisson, Jalandhar and other celebrity Chef. It was a well organized event where the preliminary rounds were conducted all over Punjab and selection was done by a panel for the final round which was held at FCI, Hoshiarpur.
In the final competition eight winners of preliminary rounds from various districts of Punjab participated and competed for the overall title. The Runners Up of the title was given cash award of Rs 15,000.

Palak Dilawari, student of third Year of CT Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Jalandhar stood First Runner up in the Competition, Category C-Culinary student at FCI, Hosiarpur.
