“Why innovation is becoming more important”
With markets and technology changing fast, and good ideas quickly copied, Customers stop buying the old products and services so we need to replace them and add new products and services, there is continual pressure to devise new and better products, processes and services faster.

Keeping in mind the importance of Innovation in the present era the students of CT Group of Institutions developed an environment friendly solar vehicle named “SURYA RATH”. It is capable of operating with solar and electrical energy. The car has seating capacity of 2 persons and runs continuously while the battery charges from solar energy. It takes 7 hours to fully charge the batteries with solar energy and 5 hours with electrical energy. Surya Rath can run up to 50 Kms with fully charged batteries at the maximum speed of 40 Km/Hr. It is an amazing example of what can be done with technology available as alternative energy sources other than petrol/diesel. The main components of Surya Rath are two Brushless DC Motors (750 Watt), four Solar Panels (100 Watt), Battery Bank (48V, 40 Ah). It is going to be a revolution in the field of non-conventional energy sources utilization. This Surya Rath has been developed by final year students of Electrical & Electronics Engineering. This car costs approximately Rs 90000/-. Our team (Punit , Puneet, Sunil, Satpal, Vinod and Jannat) is working to reduce the cost of the car and we are looking forward for a brand to make it commercially available.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman of CT Group of Institutions appreciated the hard work done by the students and also blessed them for a better future.
