CTPians go GREEN…
Our mother nature cries for help as evil of plastic has ruined the siblings of our nature. To keep the beauty of nature alive, our young warriors of CT Public School had taken a pledge not to use the plastic bags in CT Campus and to maintain the same in the outer world.

The activity comes as a sequel to the implementation of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) wherein the schools formulate clubs to tap and explore the affective domain of the students. The ‘Eco club’ stepped forward to take some preventive measures against the use of plastic bags.

It also falls in consonance with the Punjab Government issuing instructions about the hazardous affects of the use of Polythene bags and eventually banning them. The office bearers of the Eco Club ‘Eco-Warriors’ had taken this initiative to encourage the students of class I to XII to participate in the activity of Paper Bag Making; The slogan was
‘SAY NO TO POLY BAGS
&
YES TO PAPER BAGS’
Under this activity, the students were motivated to use paper bags, gunny bags, jute bags, cloth bags instead of plastic bags. Students took it as a challenge, to create awareness amongst others, with great enthusiasm by telling the demerits of plastics bags and merits of paper bags. As many as 500 students participated in the activity of making paper bags and conveyed this message to all by distributing the bags to the nearby shops.

Mrs. Ranjana Rajput, Principal , appreciated the endeavor of the ‘Eco-Warriors’ for their fight against the evil of plastic bags and wished them good luck to keep their pledge in the future.

It was a moment of twin glory for them as they also have entered their profession. Most of the students of PGDM have been placed and what made this farewell special was the confluence of students from diverse regions now working with big names like HDFC, Century Group, India Mart. The students shared their corporate experiences with their juniors and also owed their success to their alma mater.
