CT Technocrats design a 'Concept Car'

CT Group’s  saga of innovation continues to grow  in leaps and bounds as CT Technocrats add yet another column of  glory to their name by making a ‘Joystick operated  Rapid Transit Car’. The team comprising Kanwaljit Singh, Amandeep Singh, Amritpal Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Amandeep Singh Vasir, Sandeep Kumar, Bhupinder Singh and Amritpal Singh Banga, students of 6th semester of Diploma Automobile engineering have successfully made a transit car out of scrap which operates with the help of joystick .


CT technocrats earned recognition for this model and won second position at Inter-State Polytechnic Techfest-2011 at GNE College, Ludhiana, a contest of working models, testing the scientific innovation and creativity of students wherein teams from all across Punjab competed.


The car is unique in its features as the steering of the car is solely operated with the joystick helping in the movement of the car. The steering is attached to a DC motor  which is further operated with a lever. The lever is connected with two one way switches called ON/OFF Switches. The car runs with a scooter engine of 150 cc linked to a shaft.

The major advantage being that the handicapped people can operate this car easily even with a single finger. Secondly the car is cost effective and eco-friendly as it is designed out of scrap. The car gives an average of about 30-35 km/hr. The estimated cost of the car is approximately Rs.45,000-50,000.

The students thanked their project Incharge Er.Jaspal Singh Basra for bestowing faith in their credibility and helping them throughout. The students also appreciated the support and encouragement provided by their Institution.


S.Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group was elated at the achievement of students. He emphasized that it is the attitude of the students that marks their altitude of success and at CT the students are nurtured throughout to mould their attitude in the right direction.

Mr.Manbir Singh,Managing Director was ecstatic over the success of the students. He further added that Winners work for what they want and make it happen.He hoped that this achievement would encourage them further to work even harder and come out in flying colors.
