CT Institute of Engineering, Management and Technology *(*CTIEMT) has been ranked seventh amongst the top engineering colleges in Northern India after IIT’s by Silicon India, one of India’s largest professional networking portals.
During this ranking, plethora of colleges were surveyed. The Rankings allotted to various colleges were based upon the most pivotal parameter ie the alumni salary trend. The colleges with their alumni fetching high salary packages have been ranked accordingly.

CTIEMT is an arm of CT Group of Institutions, Jalandhar, Punjab in an idyllic and pastoral setting which is ideally conducive for academics and research. The Departments of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Electrical & Electronics Engg. (EEE) are the leading departments that have state-of the-art infrastructure to run the Master degree programs. Four batches of B.Tech. in CSE, ECE, ME, EEE & MBA have already passed out. All these students have been well placed with MNCs, Corporate Houses and other Public/ Private organizations.

A Career Centre has been set up at the campus for offering industry oriented domain specific training programs for the students. The program ensures that the students are industry-ready and they get the best of career opportunities to leap-start their professional life. CTIEMT has also been identified as IBM Centre of Excellence in addition to its tie-ups with reputed names like Texas Instruments, Siemens and NIT, Hamirpur. The institution provides state-of-the-art infrastructure with e-theatre and VSAT used for delivery that is in tune with the latest teaching pedagogy and falling in line with the parameters of ranking like- Student preference and diversity, faculty - judged by experience (research, teaching or industry) and whether they have Ph.Ds or not, infrastructure - labs, classrooms, library, hostels, extra-curricular facilities, LAN connectivity, etc. Placements - by average of highest package per student, Research activity - judged by number of research papers published, background diversity and points were deducted for activities which undermined quality of education, most
prominently "violent campus politics" and "ragging".
Expressing his satisfaction, S.
