CT Group Civil Engineering students attend
Survey Camp at Naddi, Himachal Pradesh

CT Group of Institutions, Jalandhar organized a fifteen days Survey Camp post second year students of department of Civil Engineering to hone their skills .The camp was held at Naddi, Dharamsala (H.P.) under the guidance and supervision of Er. Sudhir Arora, Department head and Er. Satnam Singh (Asstt. Prof.)

In this Survey Camp, students did Theodolite traversing, Plane table surveying and Contouring during the different phases of the camp and in the end, the Topographical map of the area around the bus stand, Naddi was made by the students. A camp fire function was organized on the last day of the camp .

Sh. M.S. Kanwar, Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Public Health Department, Dharamsala was the Chief Guest of the function .He appreciated the students for their dedication and enthusiasm. Sh. R.P. Dhawan,  Senior Engineer and Sh. Chowdhary , Executive engineer, from the same department were the Guests of honour.

The function included various cultural items prepared by the students and an exhibition of the maps of the different phases of the survey camp. After a keen observation of the maps prepared,  and considering various aspects like the  error found ,the number of features plotted, printing and labeling on the sheets , the groups were awarded first and second positions  in field and plotting work separately.

The chief guest gave away the prizes to the winners.The entire camp came out to be a success for the students and faculty of civil engineering department as here the students actually came across and learned to manage the practical field problems.

S.Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman CT Group, congratulated the faculty and the students for putting up a spectacular and successful camp. He appreciated the students for their participation and zeal to learn the maximum out of this camp. He further added that the knowledge and experience gained during this camp would certainly help them in their future also.
