CT Public school won runner-up trophy
in the
Sahodaya swimming competition 2011
 
Sahodhaya independent schools swimming competition was organized in woodland overseas school, Hoshiarpur from 5th Aug, 2011 to 7th Aug 2011 in which as many as 170 students from various CBSE schools  across  Punjab participated with zeal and high spirits. 

Almost all the CBSE school teams from Jalandhar including MGN public school, Police DAV school, DPS, Cambridge International ,Shiv Jyoti school etc participated in this state level competition and vied hard to win the prizes and medals. However, it was the swimmers of CT public school that captured the show by winning a number of prizes and medals in this competition.

Giving details about the said competition principal CTPS Mrs.Ranjana Rajput shared that our students representing various age groups participated in various events held under this competition that included butter fly stroke, back stroke, free style, 100m relay etc. Not only this, they proved their sportsmanship and best of performance by winning the runner- up trophy bagging 6 gold, 48 silver and 11 bronze medals. Three participants of CT public school Harjit Singh (class 7th), Davinder Singh (class 9th) and Manjinder Singh (class 8th) represented Jalandhar district in the state level basket ball competition organized by PSEB (Punjab School Education Board) at Amritsar from 1st Aug, 2011 to 6th Aug 2011. They got recognition for their excellent performances and be the one among the best five teams of the state.


The chairman of CT Group of Educational Institutions, S.Chanjit Singh Channi congratulated the players for their towering success and inspired them to become excelsior.

The principal of the school Mrs. Ranjana Rajput felicitated the winners and runners up of various events the tremendous efforts of the students. She also said that one cannot ignore the beneficial aspects of sports as it boosts up the attributes of an individual. She admired the efforts of all the participants and thanked the sports department who motivated and assisted them in showing good performance.
