IETE Students Forum Established at  CT Group of Institution
The Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers (IETE), a well-known and recognized professional society of India today established its new chapter at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, Jalandhar with as many as 120 engineering students assuming its membership on the day of its inauguration. A formal get-together of the students was organized on this occasion to felicitate the new members who were the ECE & EEE students of B.Tech final and pre-final year of the CT Institute of Engineering, Management & Technology.
 
Followed by it was the expert lectures delivered by Prof. Jagdev Singh, a former scientist at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and another faculty Prof. Gurinderbeer Singh.
Giving details about this forum, Dr. Manoj Kumar, CT Group Director shared that this IETE was originally formed in the year 1953 with an object to advance the science and technology of electronics, telecommunications and information technology. And it has presently 59 centres across India and abroad as well with more than 69000 members.
Adding further, he said that IETE has been providing leadership in scientific and technical areas of direct importance to the development of our country in general and economy in particular. Now this forum has been opened at CT Group of Institutions keeping in mind certain specific objectives to be served which includes planning and organizing of various technical programmes and activities on regular basis like symposia, exhibitions, workshops, seminars etc. for the benefit of students; providing a common platform to students members to exchange ideas and information; facilitating technical visits etc., as shared further by Dr. Manoj.
 
Present on the occasion were Chairman CT Group S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Directors, Principals and faculty, Coordinator (IETE) of the CT Group Mr. Sanjeev Bhalla. Chairman S. Charanjit Singh Channi felicitated the faculty and students on this occasion and recognized it as a remarkable achievement that would help to establish new learning pedagogy for the students.
