Best Teacher Award Ceremony -2011 held at CT Group
In order to honour the ‘Best Teachers’ and to give them due recognition in the Society, the CT Group of Institutions organized a ‘Best Teacher Award Ceremony-2011’ today at its Maqsudan Campus, Jalandhar. As many as thirty teachers, representing almost all the best schools of Jalandhar, were conferred with the title of ‘Best Teacher’ based on the survey conducted amongst undergraduate and post graduate students pursuing higher education in CT Group of Institutions.
It was not only a teachers’ show marking the teachers’ presence in a big way but a distinct show where a large number of students were also present to witness their favourite and role model teacher being honoured at this award distribution ceremony. Apart from this, principals of some local schools also participated in this programme, that included Ms. Vanita Samuel (St. Thamas School), Mrs. Satwant Gakhal (MGN School) and Mrs. Paramjit Kaur (SKBS Sr. Secondary School)
S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman CT Group of Institutions, was the chief guest on the occasion. He said that we always owe regard to a good teacher as he gives light of knowledge to hundreds of students. Moreover, a good teacher is like a candle who burns himself to give light to others. And what we are today – it is all because of those teachers who have given us good knowledge. He felicitated all the teachers present on this occasion and honoured them with a title of Best Teacher awarding them a certificate and Memento recognizing their contribution to the teaching profession.
Giving details of this event, Dr. Ashwani Kansra, Director, CT Group of Institutions, Maqsudan Campus, said it was a matter of privilege and honour for CT Group to have such students pursuing higher education in their institutes who have been mentored and trained by best teachers.
He expressed his gratitude to all the present intelligensia on this occasion with special thanks to those teachers who were being honoured on this occasion.
